CASHBOX Virtual Safe
The CASHBOX hold is a secure virtual safe that keeps the buyer's funds secure. Buyers never pay sellers directly. With online transactions, the full price is sent directly to the CASHBOX hold and is not released to the seller for 24 hours. While transacting face-to-face the buyer sends a refundable deposit to the CASHBOX Hold. The remainder of the funds are sent to the CASHBOX Hold once you receive the product. The full amount is released to the seller 1 hour later.
Transaction Amount, CASHBOX Fee and Total Amount
The transaction amount is the amount of money that will be transferred for the item. CASHBOX charges a service fee of 4% + a transaction fee. The CASHBOX fee is the cost of using the app for your transaction. The total fee is the total amount coming out of the buyer’s account.
Fees
The buyer pays the CASHBOX fee, and the seller pays any fees associated with delivery costs. The buyer pays for the package to be returned.
Canceling a Transaction
You are unable to cancel a payment once the transaction has been confirmed. However, if both parties are in agreement the payment can be cancelled. Once the transaction is cancelled, the deposit will be returned to the buyer, taking fees into consideration.
How do I know what stage the transaction is at?
Each user will be able to check the transaction stage by clicking “My Transactions”.
Transactions
The buyer in the transaction has 24-hours to confirm receipt of the product. The money is held in escrow during this process. After 24-hours, the money is automatically released to the seller. Once both parties agree and you enter your information, the buyer’s funds will be transferred to the CASHBOX hold.
Escrow
Your money is being held in escrow by CASHBOX. When transacting online, the funds are held for 24-hours. For face-to-face transactions, the funds are held for 1 hour.
CASHBOX Security
